• The Dock comes with a Downloads stack where you can easily access items you download from the internet, receive as attachments, or accept using AirDrop. You can change which is the main display by moving the Menu Bar between displays. Changing the main display affects where new windows appear and the position of the Dock. The ‘Menu Bar’ can be moved so that it is shown on an alternative display. Clicking the white menu bar and dragging it to the desired display will perform this action. After you’ve put a folder on your dock, you can Ctrl-click, right-click, or two-finger click the folder icon and adjust how the files appear. For example, they can appear in a more standard grid layout or “fan out” upwards from the icon. If you select “Stack”, you’ll see icons of the files inside the folder appear on the dock. The only files in my Downloads folder are OS X generated dotfiles: ls -A Downloads.DSStore.localized. A few things that I tried to fix the problem (unsuccessfully): killall Dock. Here is a little something for all of you Mac-lovers who use Windows. A quick and easy way to have Mac OS X mouse cursors on a PC running Windows 7, Vista or XP. Although personally I’m not a Mac person, one of the first things I do after installing a fresh copy of Windows is change the mouse pointers to the Mac OS X ones. Usually this means I have to download a zip of individual pointer icons and then manually assign them to the right cursors in the Control Panel, which is a bit annoying.Well, I don’t have to do this anymore.
